Has the “Crochet Blog” Rapture happened?? — Where are my favey bloggers??
I have many RSS subscriptions that I check almost daily, but there are some Crochet Blogs that I don’t even bother checking on RSS, I just type in their addresses, because I know them by heart. Some of these are HobbyZu.com/blog and Monstercrochet.blogspot.com. If you are looking for some highly creative crochet blogs to read, these two will definitely spark your interest. Then, there are other blogs I always read that have absolutely nothing to do with crochet or crochet blogs/blogging, but I read them and draw inspiration from the writings and pictures they post. These blogs include fugged.livejournal.com and the-moaner-lisa.livejournal.com. Why am I mentioning these blogs right now? Well, quite frankly, because I like them/they caught my interest/they have the IT factor… These people choose to put their craft/their crochet/their lives out here for others to read, and bare their very souls to their readers (Am I being a bit too dramatic here?? LOL). I like blogs that give you a little piece of the reader. I like to feel like I am experiencing something with a person when I read their blog, and these people have this affect on me. Thank you one, and thank you all!
Anywho, I said all of that to say this. Where are you all?? MoanerLisa drops the big one on me talking of Phil’s proposal (Reality TV and Soap opera’s can’t touch this blog), without so much as telling us what transpired from there, and everyone else I assume is enjoying summertime without sharing… (Tho I, too, am guilty of this one lately)…
So, an update: Crochet has been slow. Homework is getting the best of me… I keep truckin’. I keep encouraging myself as usual with the ole “Time is going to go by anyway, so use it”, but these assignments keep coming, and I really would rather be crocheting. Is there a degree out there anywhere in CROCHET??? As much as I love studying Psychology, I still just want to crochet… :-/ Maybe tomorrow I can get my crochet fix. I have several unfinished projects in the works, and several projects that are only in the imaginative stages, yet they are screaming to come out (Could this be some form of crochet schizophrenia?? — or perhaps I am studying too much Abnormal Psychology and I am reading too much into this???) I prescribe two full days of crochet and blogging, and its a sure fix (No, and I’m not talking about the “Placebo Effect”, this is the real deal :-P).
And for everyone out there who wants to see a little texturous crocheted fibers, here is a peek at the Wee Diva’s Crochet Independance Day Halter, and all the girlies showing their patriotism on the 4th of July:

More to come…

Oh my gosh they are sooo sweet!! I KNOW you’re proud of your gorgeous girls.
I am so touched that you blogged about me! I feel so special! Thank you Diva, you’ve really made my day. I really thought my blog sucked compared to many others. lol
Crochet schizophrenia? Diva you just created your own disorder! Way to go!

I’m sure eventually you’ll be able to find time to crochet. Those hooks are getting lonely.

LOL @ sweet (After just reading your blog about children fighting…) Don’t let looks be deceiving… The little one was trying to bite and pinch the big girlies before I snapped the picture. :-P)Oh, and your blog does NOT suck at all, Zuleika (How could you think it?). I’ve seen a few crochet blogs that do, tho…. LOL… As for the Crochet Schizophrenia, maybe I have created my own disorder :-/ — Hadn’t thought of it that way. (AKA lonely hook syndrome?)… I did crochet some today on a newborn divine hat, but that was not enough… Is there ever enough crochet???? I definitely need to get some more crochet and blogging done soon. I’m behind!! My to-do-list is growing!
Crochet Diva on 09 Jul 2008 at 5:22 am #
I just wanted to add that really the only crochet blogs that suck are the ones that don’t post often enough LOL(Oh no, I’m steppin on my own toes now!). I loves readin’ me some crochet blogs.
NOTICE: If this makes absolutely no sense, it is because I am way too tired to make sense by now :-P.

I agree with you on the choice of Hobby Zu and Monster Crochet for an interesting read. I read a lot of crochet blogs every day and rarely find a boring one. I think I read more than I should. It cuts down on my crochet time! - but it’s so interesting to get an insight into other crocheters lives and projects.

Ha! Kids are too funny! All that gets seen in the photos are the smiling faces, but what it took to get there is a well hidden secret.

Now, go get some sleep!
Awww shucks you’re making me blush Diva. lol I must have blog self esteem issues.
No, there is never enough crochet, and don’t worry, my list is growing pretty quickly as well.
You are funny! lol Even though you haven’t had time to post as often as you’d like, yours is still a great blog darlin.
Thank you Jan!
I need to go and check out monster crochet now. Can you believe I’ve never read it?!

Thanks for all of the comments.
You all are great inspirations to me.
LOL Jan… I know what you mean about spending more time reading blogs than crocheting. I have the same problem at times…
