Distressed Jean-look Woolen Longies

Here are the crocheted ladybugz morning glory pattern wool longies that I crocheted, and then dyed with kool-aid. They are a little long on the wee diva, because they were crocheted to fit her this winter. I added some fringe to the bottoms, and a little fringe to have the holey-distressed-blue-jean-look.

Wee Diva was having a “Diva Moment”:

Kool-Aid Dyed Longies (Jean Look)

More Kool-Aid Dyed Wool

In this case, the goal was to achieve a faded-blue-jean-like affect on some Woolen Morning Glory Longies. I think the photo’s will give a general idea of the process.

Crochet Socks

I’m joining in on the fun with socks. No, I’m not knitting them — I’m crocheting them! I still haven’t learned knitting, and I am too in love with crochet to betray her (him?) like that (Not to mention I am too busy with college to learn a new craft/art form right now). I bought this book from Amazon.com (I’m an Amazon junkie!):

I’m really excited about these socks. I think they are adorable! Now I need even more books, tho… You know how that goes! :) Has anyone used these patterns? I have read several reviews on it, and it seems to be popular. :)

Here are a couple I want to get in the near future:

Does anyone have a recommendation as to which one is the best, etc? I’d love to see socks anyone has crocheted from any of these.

Oh, and does anyone have a favorite sock yarn they would recommend? :)

Well, I’m off to make socks!
