Another Windows Vista Annoyance
I will admit that Windows Vista has some really neat new features compared to Window XP, but I’m debating whether or not to put Windows XP on my computer. There were some Windows Vista Updates this week, and every since I updated, my computer has been having a few more glitches.
Just before posting this blog, I was working on some schoolwork and clicked on something. Instead of taking me to the page I had clicked using Internet Explorer 7, it made the whole window into the browser (With no WINDOW PAGE)! It is hard to explain, but it makes the whole window useless. I had schoolwork in there! (VERY ANNOYING)….
Another glitch I have now and then is if I try to click BROWSE to upload something, sometimes my files don’t show up and I have to retry several times. That is annoying, but I’m dealing with it.
Outlook Express has been replaced by Windows Mail, which informed my husband and I that HOTMAIL cannot be used in. I really don’t understand Microsoft’s thinking. Why don’t they try to compete with companies like Google on that?
I do like that the RSS button is on my IE browser. Maybe I could have added that to my XP Browser, too, though – I’m not sure. I am seriously debating switching to XP on my laptop, though. I have basically switched most of the Vista settings to appear like the earlier versions of Windows, anyway, so the glitches would be gone, and my computer could run better if I put XP on here…. The main thing holding me back is the time that it will require to do it… Time is something I need more of!!
Well, now that I got that off my chest, I guess I’ll get back to homework…. ![]()
